An early Victorian topaz and gold pendant with a pear shape topaz centre surrounded by gold bead work and a further frame of fourteen seed pearls and three pendeloque topaz drops. The topazes are estimated to weigh a total of 2 carats and are of a warm peach colour, this gemstone is also known as Imperial Topaz and to be a talisman for positivity. Although there is no hallmark or stamps on the pendant the metal tests as 15ct gold and over time has developed a wonderful bloom or patina. A beautiful antique triple drop pendant that would look great from a gold chain or piece of ribbon.
