Antique Red Enamel and 0.10ct Old Mine Cut Diamond Bow Brooch

This sweet Late Victorian brooch has a red enamel ribbon with white dots and and an estimated 0.10ct of old brilliant cut diamonds to the centre, all in 18ct gold. Red enamel is the rarest of the enamels as it takes longer to fire and gold is used when making it. Although there is no hallmark present which is typical of this period the metal tests as 18ct gold. To the reverse is a C clasp and pin fitting and a shepherd's hook fitting to hang a pendant or watch off from the centre of the bow.

This brooch could be worn on a lapel of your jacket or on a velvet ribbon choker for the 'WOW' showstopping effect.
